TEN Sophisticated Nursery Ideas

I don't know how you feel, but I think the days are over where matchy-matchy baby rooms are a thing. The advantages of designing a room that your child can grow into will be worth the money and time. You won't have to keep upgrading to age-appropriate furniture and you won't need to spend the copious amounts of time it takes (that you also don't have) executing it. Having a sophisticated nursery looks and feels more chic....and most importantly, is functional. I've been pinning and saving my favorite nursery and children room ideas for quite some time and thought I'd share my favorites with you. Without further adieu...

Who needs a glider when you have a cozy chaise with a faux sheep skin throw? This little babe looks like he's gotten used to this vibe just fine ;)

Reclaimed wood and straight lines are a thing, and they look oh-so-good together. Your little will get enough access to bold colors and noise from their and playtime, books and cartoons. Their room can be left as a soothing sanctuary, void of excessive stimulation.

You can have a little fun with a classic colorful kilim rug if you keep the other elements neutral. This room has more color without being too bold and cheesy and the brass elements keep it stylish and refined.

Choosing a white crib will not only stand the test of time, but it can be painted over and over to look new (in the case that you keep makin' babes). It will allow you to have the liberty of choosing a new nursery palette every time. This space is especially cool with the antique-style persian rug.
